The end of the summer term certainly brings with it a huge array of activities over and above all that we normally do here. There were internal cricket matches, a swimming gala, a Leavers v Rest swimming challenge, a half-day built in to the programme to celebrate our many scholarship successes involving a BBQ, games and competitions and much more besides. And all this was in addition to the usual trips out at weekend which saw groups hitting the beach or, for those enjoying an adrenaline rush, to our nearest theme park and we played host to a visiting school from South Africa for a well-contested cricket match and braai. There was an evening picnic up our local Iron Age Hill to see the sun go down, the juniors were out camping overnight in the grounds and a couple of our boys were in Birmingham competing in the National IAPS Athletics Championships. We had Art Workshops and a trip to see outdoor sculptures. As I say, the end of the summer term, and with it the end of an academic year, is certainly a busy time.
