The Japanese Grand Prix had nothing on us this weekend. For those looking for some serious speed thrills then Horris Hill boys were providing the action in spades. Down in Poole, we had one group spinning and whizzing down waterslide shoots with names such as The Screamer, Baron’s Revenge, Infinity and Zambezi Drop. Not for the faint-hearted you might think, but our lads aren’t phased by such things and we all had a great time.
Whilst this was going on, another group was showing those Red Bull types a thing or two in the 6 lane Scalextric extravanganza that appeared like some F1 Roadshow in the Music school. Cars were flying along the straights, braking late into the corners, spinning off and being rescued in equal measure. It was high octane stuff.
On a more relaxed and gentle note, we had another group on a countryside walk out of school, across the Common and ending at Sandham Memorial Chapel to see the stunning murals of Sir Stanley Spencer. It has been another fun-filled and varied weekend of activities for the boarders.
