We’ve done one in Spanish. We’ve done one in Polish. We’ve done one in Celtic but this was a first. We’ve never done one in Mandarin before. Songs, that is. So it was, that opening our Mandarin Day we had the whole school in a competition to sing a song in Mandarin off by heart. As you might expect, pronunciation was perfect; well, almost perfect. I’m not sure we’d be chosen to present the daily news broadcasts from China but we were close enough! Some groups had a little choreography whilst others introduced some close harmony to finish.
We had Chinese flags and bunting adorning the dining room, the catering team laid on traditional Chinese meals and the whole day was a huge success. Thanks to all who helped organize this super event.
