It is always lovely to welcome back our old boys and it was with particular pleasure and excitement that we played host to so many of our 2013 leavers with their parents. Drinks in the Headmaster’s house was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
Then it was tours around the Wood and the Bank, a visit to the Archive Room to see a display of flattering and not-quite-so-flattering photos of their time with us and a game of football. The skills on display were memorable, providing top quality entertainment and a great time was had by all. After a welcome tea and cakes outside, it was time to say a very fond farewell.
Whilst all this was going on we had a group out for a shopping spree at Whiteley Shopping Centre outside Southampton, whilst another group was at the cinema to watch the latest Lego movie. There was also an epic Christmas Cake making session in the Private Side which involved much sticky stirring and manic mashing as far as I can tell. It was a full-on weekend for all and we should not forget our senior boys who are living it up in the south of France at the moment. My thanks to all.
