Spies, Lasers and Evening Campfires

Once again, the forst weekend of the new academic year was a-buzz with activities. The choir was performing at Greenham Common for the final time and it was lovely to meet up with parents, old boys and friends of the school who had come along too.
Whilst that was taking place, we had a group of senior boys cooking hot dogs and marsh mallows around a campfire in the woods followed by hot chocolate, after the whole school had been
taking part in a massive organised game around the school grounds.
Sunday saw two groups out and about doing some laser tagging or laser questing. I'm not really sure of the distinction save that one takes place in Andover and the other in Swindon. Maybe different towns have different names for these sort of things. There was a full-on five a side football competition, a picture quiz and the weekend drew to a close with a group of spies heading off into the various areas of undergrowth with the aim of sneaking their way back into the school without being spotted.
Then it was off to the boarding houses for a well-earned sleep!
