This weekend a group of boys had the chance to Ride into Africa, experience the Penguins of Madagascar, sample some tomb blasting and go on Safari, skyrail style. They also survived Rameses’ Revenge and several encounters with the Rattlesnake. Such is the delight that is Chessington World of Adventures, near the M25. Not quite Africa but near enough.
Whilst all this was going on we had a group on the water for a morning’s kayaking along the canal. We had a team out in Winchester for a cricket tournament and, closer to home, our Mothers & Sons’ tennis competition got underway with a full flurry of top spins, delicate lobs and backhand drop shots that would have graced any Roland Garros or Qizhong.
Finally, the busy and active weekend drew to a close with a lovely evening chapel service with the choir and congregation of boys, parents and staff in fine voice.
