With a Colour General Knowledge Quiz under our belts on Saturday evening to quicken the intellect and sharpen the mind, a group of boys was all set for a day of wizardry and magic at the Harry Potter experience with the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. If you don’t know your muggle from your confringo then this is a trip worth making. With a very successful rugby season almost done and dusted, confundus was clearly a weapon in every player’s arsenal. Anyway, our boys had a wonderful time immersing themselves into all things Harry Potter and came back full of all the sights and sounds.
Whilst all this was going on, we had other groups out and about. Some were at Marlborough learning about the game of Fives, some were at the cinema with lunch at Bill’s whilst others were implementing their Alekhine Defence or Stonewall Attack to good effect in a schools’ chess tournament near Basingstoke. With the Lego Club in action and a lovely Sunday evening chapel service, my thanks to all who made this such a fun and varied weekend.
