With summer just around the corner it was fitting that the Juniors took part in a wonderful Springwatch on Saturday morning and a huge display is set to show what they all discovered.
Saturday afternoon saw us in match mode and the afternoon teas by the pavilion were enjoyed by the many guests, parents and friends of the school who were here to enjoy the cricket. With matches completed and kit put away, it was time for the Hill boys to set off for some evening Laser Tagging in town.
Sunday saw several trips out and about with some internal events on offer as well. There was a War Game around the grounds in the morning and much sneaky and subtle manoeuvres were put into practice. Some younger boys went geo-caching around the local area, more senior boys went to see some club cricket and a merry band went off to play some fives in the new courts at St Bartholomew’s School in Newbury. During the afternoon we also welcomed many parents for our Parents & Sons’ Golf Competition. It’s always good to see such a variety of shots on display and grips ranging from Vardon to those that gladiators of old might have employed in the arena were analysed and adjusted.
This has been another very full and varied weekend and as the evening sun dipped below the horizon we went back to our houses tired but content. Image courtesy of Junior Department 2015.
