Bhangra Indian music workshop
In October as part of the school’s insight in to the Indian festival of Diwali, Ranjit Shokar visited Horris Hill to give a workshop on Indian musical instruments and dancing.
In all about 50 boys had the opportunity to play tabla drums and other Indian percussion instruments and to Bhangra dance. Ranjit was hugely enthusiastic and his love of the Punjabi tradition was obvious to all. A very successful and educational day.
