Design Technology

Design Technology is taught throughout the school, with the option of extra lessons during activities time. All boys enjoy a double period of this practical subject and there are strong cross curricular links with other subjects. Boys have taken the subject for Scholarships and Awards.

The pupils use a wide range of materials, such as plastics, electronics and wood to design and make their projects. Wood tends to be the main material used in the majority of work with an emphasis on extended key skills to enable the boys to confidently use tools and materials autonomously.
