Hockey
Mini-hockey (7-a-side) has priority throughout the second half of the Spring term at Horris Hill.
Hockey coaching is part of the PE programme and from the February exeat to the end of the spring term, groups will be chosen based on hockey ability only, to prepare for school matches. At all times the boys will be coached by enthusiastic, qualified and regularly trained members of staff or visiting specialists. These sessions all take place on our brand new artificial grass surface.
We run 1st V11, 2nd V11, U11a V11, U11b V11 & U11c V11 school hockey teams but we also ensure all boys continue to have the opportunity to play and develop. As with all other sports we believe our philosophy - 'the performance and behaviour being more important than the result' - is an important factor in the development of the boys.
