Limited places for Reception 2022

Unusually, we have a few remaining places, in Reception, for girls and boys this September!  We are a small, nurturing, school full of happy and successful children. We aim to remain a small school, where we can continue to offer small classes and a supportive community.  It is an exciting time to join the school; we welcome a new Headmaster in September and being part of the Forfar Education Group, Horris Hill is benefiting from a multi-million pound refurbishment.

Outstanding pastoral care is one of the major strengths of our school and children joining Reception will join a small class, with an Early-Years specialist as their teacher.  Our experienced pastoral team ensure that each and every pupil is happy and nurtured, and has the opportunity for personal growth.  Even from the youngest years, children effectively contribute to their own educational journey, they develop confidence and have a sense of belonging.

At Horris Hill, each child is valued; They are seen and they are heard.

In our Lower School, we believe that learning itself should be a little bit magical. To achieve this, our expert team deliver a playful curriculum through child-led topics.  Our continuous provision provides children with stimulating, active play experiences that interest and inspire them to learn.

At Horris Hill, we strive for excellence in education and an extension to the academic teaching is guiding pupils to behave well, to be kind, respectful and tolerant.
