Weekend Trips and Activities
As a traditional boarding school with a forward-thinking outlook, our Saturday programme combines academic focus with enriching co-curricular opportunities.
The morning is dedicated to academic lessons, helping children consolidate their learning in a calm, focused environment. Afternoons are for sport, with pupils representing Horris Hill in fixtures against other schools, developing teamwork, resilience, and school spirit.

Saturday Enrichment Programme
Pupils in Years 3 and 4 can join our optional Enrichment programme, offering activities that build confidence and curiosity. Sessions focus on communication, teamwork, and exploring the wider world, often culminating in fun, hands-on experiences like seasonal crafts and baking.
We regularly hold Family Chapel Services throughout the term on Saturday afternoons, offering a reflective and inclusive way for families to come together. Future service dates are published in the School Newsletter.
Weekend Trips
Our boarding school students, who remain with us over the weekend,
have an incredibly fun time, with a range of activities and trips to keep our residents entertained. They are never bored! Our trips include theme parks, bowling alleys, laser questing and tagging venues, the cinema, theatre, museums, professional sport matches, high rope courses, ice skating and much more. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the wider Berkshire and Hampshire areas, both rich in culture and history.
We also offer lots of on-site activities, ranging from Laser Quest to tree climbing and den building in our woods, to Bake Off competitions!
