Horris Hill School is a leading boarding and day preparatory school for around 130 children aged 2 to 13, situated in 65 acres of Hampshire countryside, close to Newbury in Berkshire.

At Horris Hill, our teaching and support staff are the foundation of our strong community. Led by a Senior Management Team who both inspire and support, our staff provides outstanding pastoral care and excellence in teaching to our pupils. Our team are well-resourced and further supported to the highest educational standards.

Helen Wilkinson Head

Helen Wilkinson, MA BA (Hons) PGCE FRSA, has a breadth of leadership, boarding and teaching experience gained both in the U.K. and overseas. In her most recent Headship, her school was made a finalist in the Independent School of the Year awards 2024. Formerly the Head Mistress of Brighton College Abu Dhabi (linked to the TES U.K. School of the Decade) and Co-Director of a top Swiss Boarding School, she has been dedicated to inspiring pupils to be the best they can be for over 30 years. Having worked as a Houseparent, Head of English and Headmistress of numerous 3-18 schools, Helen understands the benefits of a full boarding experience, and the joy that can be sparked through top quality teaching and learning at all ages. Helen is dedicated to ensure that all pupils are exposed to wealth of opportunities to enhance their development.
