Showcasing Musical Talent Across the Year Groups
Just before the half term break, pupils at Horris Hill School delivered a vibrant and uplifting Informal Concert, the second so far of the term.
The performance brought together 15 musical items, performed by pupils in every year group from Year 3 to Year 8. The event featured eight different instruments and a repertoire spanning 370 years of music history. Works by composers from nine different nationalities were represented, all delivered in a concise and engaging 40-minute programme.
The concert offered a platform for pupils of all experience levels to share their musical progress, with several children performing on new instruments, including the toot, flute and trombone, for the very first time. A dynamic heavy metal drum finale brought the event to a lively close and left the school community heading into the break in high spirits.
With preparations now underway for the upcoming Live Lounge and Whole School Concert, there is much to look forward to in the final weeks of term.
