Admissions Process
We are delighted that you are considering a place for your child. We understand that choosing the right school for your child is a significant decision, and we are here to help you every step of the way.
Horris Hill offers day places for children from Reception (age 4) to Year 8. Boarding places are available for Years 3 to 8.

The admissions process for Horris Hill School includes the following steps:
- Visit the School:
The first step is to visit our school to see everything we have to offer. We have a number of events, which can be viewed here, throughout the year or can arrange a personal tour at a time convenient to your family.
- Meet Our Team:
After your visit, we invite you to meet with the Head or Head of Lower School to learn more about how we can support your child’s journey.
- Register Your Child:
If you’d like to move forward, we encourage you to register your child for a place at the school.
- Familiarisation Day:
All registered children are invited to a Familiarisation Day (or for a shorter session if they’re younger). This is an opportunity for your child to explore the school, join in lessons and activities, and be paired with a buddy their age to get a real feel for life at Horris Hill.
- Assessment Process and Offer of a Place:
We’ll assess your child’s ability and suitability based on their year group to ensure they’ll thrive here with us. An offer of a place will be made once we have met your child and subject to them successfully meeting the assessment criteria for entry.
- Confirming the Place:
Once you receive the offer, we’ll ask you to confirm your child’s place by returning a deposit and the necessary entry forms.
Please fill out our enquiry form, and our Admissions Manager, Michelle Trigwell, will be in touch shortly to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.
